Well, hello and welcome to LuLu’s Waxing Studio!
LuLu's Waxing Studio is a fabulously independent, and private waxing studio that specializes in Brazilian bikini waxing for gals. It’s all about creating a comfortable, respectful environment with a whole lot of fun thrown in. You’ll receive the best one-on-one service with top-shelf professional products paired with exceptional technique to give you fabulous results. And there’s only one LuLu so you will always receive the same great experience every time you wax.
LuLu started her venture into owning her own business over twenty years ago when she opened Deluxe, a sweet little manicure and pedicure studio. A year later she added waxing services, and they became so popular they took over her business. She knew it was time for a name change, so LuLu’s Waxing Studio was born! LuLu remembers people telling her she wouldn’t survive offering just one type of service (there were no waxing studios back then in Calgary!) but LuLu knew she could do it. And here she is TWENTY years later thriving and still loving it.
Meet LuLu!
Around this time, she also started to hear about a fabulous product called hard wax. It did NOT stick to skin, just hair, and was a far superior product for removing hair from sensitive areas like the bikini, underarms, and face. Hard wax wasn’t available in Calgary, so LuLu had it shipped from Vancouver. It was pricier than regular wax but like all the things LuLu uses in her studio, only the best products would do for her clients.
LuLu didn’t discover the world of aesthetics when searching for an initial career choice. Oh, my goodness she took the round-about way, and this gal is seriously schooled! She’s a graduate from Mount Royal College Fine and Performing Arts Program, Delmar College of Hair and Aesthetics, SAIT Journalism Program (writing and photography) AND she is also a graduate from ACAD with a BFA with distinction from the Ceramics Program. LuLu often jokes she’s the most over-educated waxer that she knows but she wouldn’t change anything because ALL those experiences led her to be such a successful business owner.

She loves owning her own little business and introducing people to how fabulous waxing can be at LuLu’s. She adores her clients, and while she’s fabulous at her job, she’s a whole lot of fun too.
